Partner Spotlight: Early On At Kent ISD
What programs do you offer for young children and their families?
Early On provides early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers (up to age 3) with developmental delays or disabilities or established medical conditions. We offer free developmental evaluations, and home visits for eligible children. We utilize a coaching approach to build parent confidence and competence in supporting their child with a delay or disability.
How do families enroll in your programs?
Referrals can be completed on the Early On website at www.1800earlyon.org. And anyone can make a referral (parent, physician, caseworker, etc.). Once a child is referred our Intake team will reach out to the family to discuss an evaluation within 10 days.
How does your organization use parent voice to inform your programs?
We have an Advisory Team that includes parent representatives that meets four times per year. We also send parent surveys to enrolled families 3 times per year, as well as when children exit from our program, to obtain parent feedback.
What do you most appreciate about your GSC membership?
The opportunity to receive updates and information from the early childhood community, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with community partners.
